Rwandan Children

Our Work

The scourge of AIDS, poverty, and genocide have left Rwanda with a huge educational gap.  Many children learn in overcrowded classrooms with between 60 and 100 students.  Teachers lack certification, ongoing training, resources, and adequate pay.  It's an overwhelming situation.  But there is hope.

Since 2004, Wellspring has offered training and support to hundreds of Rwandan teachers, establishd a Professional Development Center, developed a model Christian school called the Wellspring Academy, supported the growth of the Association of Committed Teachers (ACT) Rwanda, and launched an innovative new community-focused solution for school transformation called the Whole School Development Program.

Take some time to find out more about Wellspring's work and see how you can be involved in impacting thousands of Rwandan children.
