Wellspring Academy

Meet Moses

For his father, a Rwandan stone mason, the long journey to work has suddenly taken on a whole new meaning.

Eric has been walking the five kilometers to his job as a mason for Christian Life Assembly (CLA) Rwanda for several years, but the journey suddenly has a new meaning. This January, Eric gained a new walking buddy-his young son Moses, who was recently accepted as part of the subsidy program at the Wellspring Academy.

Moses in class

Four years ago, Eric helped lay some of the first bricks at the school. Now his son is receiving a top notch education his father could never have afforded on his own, thanks to the vision and generosity of the school's Rwandan Board of Directors and the partnership of its fee paying parents.

Wellspring Academy is now in its third year of operation and has 300 students in grades K-5. Many of these students pay a reasonable school fee that helps the school pay all its own operational costs-including administrative costs, teacher salaries, general upkeep, and utilities. The fees also help to cover the costs of a number of students like Moses who are orphaned or come from impoverished homes. As a high quality, fully sustainable school that also provides an education for needy Rwandan children, the Wellspring Academy is truly unique in the Rwandan context.

Please take some time to hear more of Moses story and hear Eric's thoughts on having his son attend Wellspring Academy:
