Inspired by Innovation.

On April 30th, I had the privilege to represent Wellspring at the fifth annual RL Peterson Awards for Innovation in Cambridge, Ontario.  The awards are hosted by the Bridgeway Foundation, a forward thinking private foundation committed to helping non-profit organizations "engage in creative transformational projects both within Canada and the developing world."

I sat there with other business and non profit leaders, celebrating how God is using the passion and creativity of his people to make a difference around the world, and in awe of the creativity being unleashed to find solutions to some of the World's most pressing problems.

I am so proud of this years award winners-the Ratanak Foundation, International China Concern, and Christian Blind Mission International (CBMI)-and their commitment to finding new solutions to age old problems.   I am inspired by the commitment of the Ratanak Foundation in Cambodia to help rehabilitate rescued Cambodian sex trade workers.  I am inspired to see God using International China Concern to support disabled Chinese children and their families before they are abandoned.  I am inspired by the initiative of CBMI to partner with Toronto Sick Children's Hospital through satellite technology with a rural hospital in Uganda.

Their example helps us at Wellspring to do a better job at what God has called us to do and reminds us that we are part of a team of people who stretch around the world.
