The Rwandan proverb—“Umwana apfa mu iterura"—is literally translated “a spoiled child comes out of its birth.” This proverb emphasizes that children learn how to behave from their upbringing and acknowledges the essential role that parents and guardians in all societies have in forming the next generation.

By 2012, we hope to have transformed 33 Rwandan school communities, nearly 1000 teachers, and over 60,000 children.  If we are willing to step out in faith together, God will accomplish more than we can ask or imagine.  We need your help to make the successful transition towards greater impact.  Can I ask you to prayerfully consider digging deep and blessing the people we serve with a year end donation?

On April 30th, I had the privilege to represent Wellspring at the fifth annual RL Peterson Awards for Innovation in Cambridge, Ontario.  The awards are hosted by the Bridgeway Foundation, a forward thinking private foundation committed to helping non-profit organizations "engage in creative transformational projects both within Canada and the developing world."
